Cindy Cooper

    It is rare today among thousands of singers, to hear a voice which captures the listener immediately.  Cindy Cooper is here with a voice that speaks straight to the heart and soul. Her sultry voice ranges from a deep contralto and soars to a dramatic soprano that covers 4 octaves. Cindy Cooper has collaborated with the following classic R&B artists during her vocal career which includes the late" Billy Paul", "Phyllis Hyman",  and "Teddy Pendergrass" .  Cindy joined "Patti Labelle", Queen of R&B on her USA tour and "Bill Jolley"-keyboardist, producer, arranger, and three time Emmy Award winner has helped Cindy to create, produce, and arrange some of her best musical tracks.  She has also appeared on the popular tv show, "Showtime at the Apollo".
 
    Her talents have confirmed that her place is amongst the top echelon of R&B vocalists. Cindy received her vocal training from the renown voice/fitness guru, Owen Brown who also trained these well known artists as well-(Mary J. Blige, Jill Scott, and City High).  Cindy's career to date, includes national and international touring, tv appearances, and recording for people like Skip Scarborough (Songwriter for Earth, Wind, and Fire).  Cindy has also work with former W.M.O.T. Records A&R executive Nick Martinelli. Cindy's strong and powerful vocals led her to be selected to work with or open up for "The Delfonics", "Enchantment", "Bobby Jones" Gospel Show, and the late "Nancy Wilson" and "Bobby Womack".
 
     Cindy was the former lead vocalist for the gospel recording group, "Jericho" and she was featured on their latest album singing, "I Was Nothing".  She was also featured on the "Les Paul Roque's album project  entitled "Dare 2B Different". Cindy also created her own gospel group entitled "Cindy Cooper & Prayz" which performed in several churches in the Bible Belt area performing her debut CD release entitled "Somebody Somewhere Loves Me". A 12 track CD full of inspiration, praise, and joyful expression of love for "Jesus Christ". Cindy is an avid songwriter and teacher of piano and voice. She has penned a house track entitled "Call On Me" which she performs the vocals and it has received great exposure in London, United Kingdom.

Cindy Cooper is now preparing to release another CD with brand new material. She is co-writing with Crissy O and Melanie of Music-and-More Studio in historic Wilson, NC and it keeps getting better and better. She sings several genres of music starting with R&B, Gospel, Jazz, House, Lounge, and Pop.  Contact her today for your event.
